Rocks For Sale

So it started at the beginning of summer before h left for his dad's house, he gathered rocks and pebbles along his way. Now these are not anything special or polished rocks, just common gravel along the way. He had gathered these for some time, I would say he started when he was around 2 so a good 5 years. This summer they were getting in the way of me putting some plants in my pots outside that I actually was going to go and just toss them in the garbage. Well low and behold the little love noticed what I was doing and frantically came over to let me know his rocks were in that pot and was I really going to throw them away?

So once he rescued the rocks from certain death he decided he was going to sell the rocks, riding around on his bike calling out for a good 20 or 30 minutes, "rocks for sale!", upon the end I sent a message to my sister to let her know she had better come and buy some rocks so this little darling of mine. By the time I convinced Gma to come over he was working it, buy one get one free. Not sure how much he made off of them before he left, I didn't keep track, but trust me the sale only continued upon his return.

While h was gone I replaced the carpet in the living room with laminate wood floors, well this being my first time placing it there were a number of mistakes. I don't recall for sure where the cardboard piece came into place but the boy decided to create a sign for his rock sale. He fancied it all up so they could even place their name upon purchasing some rocks. I did not give it much thought when one day we were leaving for the day there was a disappointed shrug in his shoulders. "What is wrong love?" was the question at hand, "Why is no one buying my rocks, not one name on my list". Well I couldn't let that get him down, so my sister to rescue.

Upon her arrival for her milk she writes down Jake T., and let the boy know that he had a customer. Well that boy was so elated I just melted, but then his mood turned "Who is Jake T.? And why did he buy rocks?" Since this time a number of celebrities have come about. Santa, Spiderman and of course Billy Joel (although the boy does not know who this is as well as his name was written just randomly instead of the correct column" This little man has sold $16 of rocks now, but Santa is a little suspicious to him and he continues to look in my room because the boy does not feel that he took any for his purchase, my sis under estimated his obsessive convulsive disorder he has.
